The Complete JAMES BOND Short Stories to celebrate the Ian Fleming Centenary

 

 

To coincide with the release of the new James Bond film, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, starring Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench, Penguin Classics has brought together for the first time all the short stories in one volume.

 

The stories follow the charming but deadly 007 on dangerous missions across the globe, chasing a Cuban hit-man in wild country, smashing an international drugs ring in Rome and foiling an alluring assassin in Berlin’s sniper’s alley. Fast cars, beautiful women, murderous plots and national secrets come part of the territory. In celebration of the Ian Fleming Centenary, Penguin are also publishing DEVIL MAY CARE, a brand new James Bond novel by Sebastian Faulks on 28 May.

 

Additionally, to coincide with the eagerly awaited film QUANTUM OF SOLACE, directed by Marc Forster, due to be released in the UK on 31 October, Dorling Kindersley will be publishing BOND ON SET, and JAMES BOND – THE SECRET WORLD OF 007, both publishing 1 October.

 

 

Ian Fleming (1908 – 1964) worked as a journalist with Reuters and at a City firm before joining the Foreign Office. He served in British Naval Intelligence during the Second World War and after the War was Foreign Manager of The Sunday Times. The first of his James Bond thrillers, Casino Royale was published in 1953.
