Summary

Steve Cole’s second Young Bond book is the seventh in the series.

Bond is in Cuba following the thrill-ride of Shoot to Kill. What begins as a holiday soon spirals towards peril as James is drawn into a fresh danger; he has attracted the attention of a proud and maniacal foe, the man known as Scolopendra.

As the enemies close in, and with corrupt cops and hired assassins hot on his heels, Bond must confront this fearsome predator who is poised to prey upon his unsuspecting homeland.

Through the dusty backstreets of Havana and beneath the azure waters off the Cuban coast, the threat to James accelerates to global proportions, and the young hero is forced to endure more than any boy should to stop a countdown to mass murder.

Fates will be decided with the flip of a coin. Heads or tails. Live or die.

Steve Cole is a British children’s and sci-fi author best known for his hugely successful Astrosaurs series for younger readers.

'See that?' Scolopendra held the silver dollar up to MacLean’s one still-staring eye. 'Heads you die'.
