Summary

Steve Cole’s third Young bond adventure is the eighth in the series.

When James stumbles upon a horrific sight, he knows things are not what they seem. There is something suspicious in the determination of his school to assure him that what happened was an accident. James believes what he saw was murder.

The significance of the events at school only comes to light in the course of an adventure that takes James across Europe and puts him within range of a warmongering villain.  Has James got what it takes to triumph over this man, the worst kind of enemy, who boasts a new kind of weapon?

On the railroads of Europe, James will strike a path towards international intrigue and sinister machinations within the 1930s arms race. An imbalance between the European powers could overwhelm a continent on the brink of chaos; James has never been closer to catastrophe, and the world has never needed him so desperately to restore critical balance.

Steve Cole is a British children’s and sci-fi author best known for his hugely successful Astrosaurs series for younger readers.

'And somehow I’m going to find out what really happened. Blade was right when he told me the strong take things into their own hands.'
