What’s Coming in 2025
January in London has been a mostly wet and cold affair, but we’ve been working behind the scenes on several projects for the year ahead that we can now share with you…
Last year we worked with the team at HarperCollins US to take on the challenge of recording brand new audio editions of all of Ian Fleming’s classic Bond adventures, and we were thrilled to collaborate with incredible narrators including Richard Armitage (Casino Royale), Adjoa Andoh (Live and Let Die), Mark Gatiss (From Russia With Love) and many others. The new recordings were revealed throughout 2024 in the States, and we’re now pleased to be releasing all fourteen Bond books (plus Fleming’s non-fiction titles Thrilling Cities and The Diamond Smugglers) in the UK on January 29th! The recordings will be available to buy direct from us, or on your favourite audiobook platform.

Whilst we live in an ever more digital age, there’s still pleasure to be found in physical items that go against the grain of mass-production, and instead embrace traditional simplicity and a focus on quality materials and attention to detail. We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with the Stamford Notebook Company, to create a series of bespoke notebooks in four different cover finishes, all featuring our distinctive gold-embossed hummingbird logo. A small number of these beautiful notebooks will be available to order exclusively from our online shop in February. Perfect for jotting down all those spy story ideas…

April 8th will see the paperback publication of Kim Sherwood’s globe-trotting thriller A Spy Like Me in the United States, which gives American readers that are new to the series enough time to read book one, Double or Nothing, before it hits shelves!

April will also see the release of a new prestige hardback edition of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, featuring the classic cover and the iconic original illustrations by John Burningham. Publishing on April 23rd to celebrate the great John Burningham’s birthday, it will make a beautiful gift for fans both new and old of the classic story. It is available to pre-order now, but be aware that in the coming months we’ll also be listing a copy that comes complete with an exclusive limited edition art print…

Moving ahead to May, we’re pleased to share that on the 22nd, just in time for Ian’s birthday, we’ll be publishing Talk of the Devil: The Collected Writings of Ian Fleming. A collection of rarely-seen journalism and other writing by the creator of Agent 007, this will be the very first trade edition of his collected non-fiction writings, and spans his career, encompassing reviews for the Sunday Times, Second World War documents, travel journalism, correspondence with Raymond Chandler and much more. It will also feature newly-unearthed articles that have not been available for over half a century. Our UK edition is available to pre-order here, and it will also be published in the US by HarperCollins.

Don’t forget that last year we announced a new crime series project in collaboration with Zaffre, part of Bonnier Books UK. The series, The Q Mysteries, centres around the character of Major Boothroyd, and the first book Quantum of Menace will be published on October 23rd. We’ve read it and readers are in for a treat.
There are several other projects that are also in place for the year ahead, but that we don’t yet have clearance to share – keep an eye on our social media channels, and make sure that you’re signed up to receive email dispatched from Miss Moneypenny here to be kept in the loop on new developments…
